Many Methodists are a little behind in their exact knowledge of what Methodism believes and why, what it does not believe and why, what its church government is and why, what is connectionalism and why, what its fundamental essential doctrines are and why, and what its intellectual and social attitudes are and why. They know all this in a general way, but they have no access to clear, definite, and full information about their Church and its belief and practice which by careful and continuous study they could make their own.
